More Than Just A Dance Team
ALL ABOUT OUR DANCE STUDIO
The Concrete Rose is fully devoted to providing young dancers an encouraging environment where they are given an opportunity to grow and excel in their dance education. We wish to encourage our students to achieve their fullest potential – to support them as they grow artistically and academically and develop into well rounded individuals who are nourished in mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to generate a foundation where a rose can bloom, even in those cases where nature has made it nearly impossible for them to survive.
When you decide to join us at The Concrete Rose Dance Academy, you too will be able to take advantage of our professional and experienced staff at our fully-equipped and recently renovated studio. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer looking to improve your technique, we guarantee you’ll find it here. The Concrete Rose Dance Academy will give young students, ages 3-17 in the Roanoke Valley community the opportunity to learn the techniques of dance, flag, and baton on all different skill levels, while learning lessons on self-identity, physical education, healthy competition, and the importance of service to one’s community.
Recreational Dance Program
Recreational dancers are students that enroll to take classes only at The Concrete Rose with no commitment to traveling with the team. New students may enroll from September to February. These students perform at 2 events: Christmas Showcase & Spring Recital.
TCRDA Competition/Travel team trains 4 days a week. They are required to take Ballet, Modern/Contemporary/Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Twirling. The competition team candidates are required to audition. The travel team will perform 1-2 times a month. Competition students will compete in 1-2 dance competitions a year. Students on these teams sacrifice their time, keep up their grades, and have outstanding behavior in and out the dance studio.
